1) How is Premier Vacation Club different from other clubs?

Premier Vacation Club is the latest and most technologically advanced vacation ownership scheme available on the worldwide vacation ownership market today. The Premier Vacation Club is offered by invitation only to the discerning and selective holidaymaker with high quality expectations in mind.

The Club was created and developed by the Club Leisure Group, South Africa's largest player in the Vacation Ownership industry. The Club Leisure Group is the only organization worldwide, to manage 10 other similar Vacation Ownership products and their vast experience in this field and the world wide vacation ownership industry, has been the key and mastermind to the development of this unique and exciting vacation ownership concept.

Premier Vacation Club does not have economy in mind, but rather, member satisfaction while ensuring superior quality and service at top class resorts exclusively for the discerning holidaymaker. Membership of Premier Vacation Club is exclusively available only to:-

Families or individuals that are existing owners at outstanding premier or gold crown timesharing resorts ... OR...

...to the individual who wishes to secure a lifetime of Vacation Ownership with exclusive access to superior, high quality resorts in South Africa with the added advantage of access to over 3500 resorts worldwide. These resorts are accessed either through the Club Leisure Group portfolio of properties or alternatively via the Premier Vacation Club link to RCI. Premier Vacation Club is without doubt the latest vacation ownership innovation to emerge in the rapidly growing worldwide vacation ownership market.

Premier Vacation was specifically designed with quality, prestige, and superiority in mind, with the express objective to exceed expectation in vacation experiences – for the discerning and sophisticated holidaymaker.

2) How do I make a reservation?

  • 1. Select the region and time of year in which you would like to enjoy your coming holiday.
  • 2. Agree with your family with regard to how many people will be travelling.
  • 3. Have your membership number ready.
  • 4. Call our Central Reservation Centre on 031 717 7410 and our team of fully trained personnel will try to match your request as closely as possible. Your holiday planner will confirm the number of points required for your holiday as well as any accommodation fees payable.
  • 5. Should you require additional points, our holiday planner will immediately assist by either arranging for you to borrow up to 25% of the following year's points or referring you to our Sales Department who will allow you the opportunity to purchase additional points as required over the telephone.
  • 6. Once you have confirmed your choice, a confirmation letter will be posted to you immediately.
  • 7. This document contains all the information you need and can be used in conjunction with your Vacation Directory to plan your holiday.

The Club offers the widest variety of seasons, locations and resorts. To enjoy maximum benefits, members should only select a region and season, and allow one of our professional reservationists to find a suitable match.

3) What does 'trade in' mean?

It's when an existing or non-existing member trades in their privately owned timeshare week in order to exchange for points in Premier Vacation Club.

4) Do I have to purchase Premier Vacation Club Points in order to trade in my week or do I just trade in?

Yes, you are required to purchase a minimum amount of points in order to trade in your week, your consultant will advise you accordingly.

5) Will I continue paying levies for the week which I privately own?

No, the Club will be paying your levies from the year that they have taken occupation and you will only be responsible for the Premier Vacation Club annual fees.

6) Why do I still receive Levy statements from the resort?

The transfer of your week into the name of Premier Vacation Club has not been finalized.

 

7) What do I do if I want to occupy my week every year?

The Club offers a Premier Vacation Club Gold membership which gives you first right of refusal for the week you have traded-in to the Club. The week will automatically be booked for you each year, and you have up to 6 months prior to occupation to cancel the booking if you do not wish to utilize your own unit.

8) When can I start utilizing my membership?

  • a. Once you have received your welcome letter with you membership number.
  • b. Once a Debit Order has been completed in respect of annual fees.
  • c. Reminder - It can take up to 90 days to load a Contract and/or Conversion Agreement.

9) How does the Points System work?

Premier Vacation Club applies a resort grading system, based on points, to value all the intervals of holiday accommodation available to members.

Members are entitled to use the points they have acquired, to holiday (subject to availability) at any of the clubs accommodation or other accommodation available to the Club.

It is the policy of the Club to continue to acquire only inventory of high quality accommodation at sought after resort locations, during high demand times of the year, in order to adequately satisfy members' requests.

The Club will continue to expand as more accommodation is introduced and new members join the Club.

Once points have been purchased, they are automatically issued to members each year. These points increase at the rate of inflation each year ensuring that the asset appreciates and members continue to enjoy a lifetime of holidays. In addition, any unused points can be accumulated for up to 36 months, or be rented out. Up to 25% of the following years points may be borrowed for the current year's holiday if required and points may be bequeathed.

10) What is 'Holiday Contribution'?

Premier Vacation Club members are required to pay a "Holiday Contribution" for the use of the Club's holiday accommodation, this is to be paid in January of each year. The Holiday Contribution covers the running costs (including maintenance fees).

The Annual Fee payment consists of:

A provisional Holiday Contribution payable at the beginning of each year (levies on a Accommodation Fee percentage that is calculated by estimating the Club's total maintenance fees as a percentage of the total value of the members points).

The Accommodation Fee applicable to the specific holiday reserved is noted and if the Holiday Contribution Fee paid at the beginning of the year is not sufficient to cover this Accommodation Fee, the member will pay only the short fall.

Uniquely, if there is a credit in the "Holiday Savings Available" account at the end of any year, it will be carried over to the following year where it will be added to the next year's user charge credit.​​​​
